After 20 years of working as a trauma-informed psychotherapist (MFT) specializing in the use of expressive arts therapies and dreamwork, I was called to the study of astrology by a very profound and transformative dream. On this particular day transiting Jupiter conjoined my natal moon, while both of these planets simultaneously entered my dream. At the time I had no conscious awareness that this event was happening in the night sky while I slept, nor what the meaning of such an occurrence of stellar influences signified astrologically, yet there they were, Jupiter and the Moon, lighting up the night sky of my dreamscape and transmitting messages through the symbolism in my dream that helped me make meaning of some very painful life experiences I was going through within the larger context of my life. The fact that the planets could reach into my unconscious dream state and convey these messages that had such a far-reaching and transformative effect on my mental and emotional state upon waking was fascinating and bewildering to me. In a desire to gain an understanding of this extraordinary experience, I embarked upon a course of rigorous study and exploration over the next several years, first under the mentorship of Kay Taylor in the study of Evolutionary Astrology and Intuitive Development. Later, I enrolled in the Excellence in Astrology Program at the Oraculous School of Astrology to study Traditional Astrology under the mentorship of Mychal A Bryan, further honing and refining my abilities. Hence the seeds that would eventually birth Lunar Reflections Astrology were planted by Jupiter (Ruler of my 9th house) on that fateful night as he brought previously unimagined possibilities to the expression of my natal Moon’s potential. Now having acquired this deeper understanding of the stellar influences and planetary cycles correspondence to our lived experiences on Earth, I am passionate about utilizing the celestial arts to help others gain insight into their divine blueprint to live more fully embodied and satisfying lives.
